Stop by Doug’s Fish Fry to enjoy a plate of fish and chips served alongside an ice-cold beer. Doug’s is known for their seafood and chicken, and their housemade ice cream is also delicious. The atmosphere here is classic and vintage, and many locals consider Doug’s Fish Fry to be one of their favorite lunch stops. Begin your meal with a cup of gumbo, which is usually followed by the fish dinner, a meal that includes coleslaw and mac and cheese. It’s up to you whether you order the root beer float with your meal as a drink or save it for dessert. They’re open daily between 11 AM and 9 PM, and their Skaneateles Lake location is one of four Doug’s Fish Fry restaurants in the area.
Most people haven’t experienced Italian food with a French twist, and nobody does it quite like the chefs at Moro’s Kitchen. Their menu features Italian staples like pizza and pasta, but you’ll also find sushi and barbecue dishes. Of course, the menu varies based on the season, so you’re sure to enjoy a new dish each time you stop by. That said, you can always trust that there will be plenty of housemade gelato or cannolis for dessert. Moro’s Kitchen is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but they’re open between 4 PM and 8 PM Wednesday to Sunday for dinner.
