Rosalie’s Cucina first opened in 1995 and has since hosted several famous guests, including multiple U.S. presidents. Their menu features delicious Italian cuisine, such as rigatoni with slow-cooked beef. Make sure you stop by the bakery on your way out to grab a pastry and a cup of coffee. Visit their website to make a reservation for your upcoming visit. Rosalie’s Cucina is open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 PM until 8:30 PM. LakeHouse Pub regularly hosts live music acts, and they always have plenty of beers on tap. This restaurant first opened in 2012 and is known for their pub fare and delicious appetizers. Some of their top choices include their hot pretzel sticks, wings, and buffalo shrimp. Entrée choices include buffalo chicken tenders, quesadillas, and steak or chicken Philly cheesesteaks. They open daily at 12 PM and remain open until midnight every day except Friday and Saturday, when the party keeps going until 2 AM.

Elephant and The Dove

Elephant and The Dove has only been open for a few years, but it hasn’t taken long for this restaurant to capture significant local attention. Locals love their tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas as well as their full range of drink offerings. Adam Weitsman, the restaurant’s owner, operates several other area establishments. Elephant and The Dove is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, but they’re open from 11:30 AM until 8:30 PM Thursday through Monday.

Doug’s Fish Fry

Stop by Doug’s Fish Fry to enjoy a plate of fish and chips served alongside an ice-cold beer. Doug’s is known for their seafood and chicken, and their housemade ice cream is also delicious. The atmosphere here is classic and vintage, and many locals consider Doug’s Fish Fry to be one of their favorite lunch stops. Begin your meal with a cup of gumbo, which is usually followed by the fish dinner, a meal that includes coleslaw and mac and cheese. It’s up to you whether you order the root beer float with your meal as a drink or save it for dessert. They’re open daily between 11 AM and 9 PM, and their Skaneateles Lake location is one of four Doug’s Fish Fry restaurants in the area.

Moro’s Kitchen

Most people haven’t experienced Italian food with a French twist, and nobody does it quite like the chefs at Moro’s Kitchen. Their menu features Italian staples like pizza and pasta, but you’ll also find sushi and barbecue dishes. Of course, the menu varies based on the season, so you’re sure to enjoy a new dish each time you stop by. That said, you can always trust that there will be plenty of housemade gelato or cannolis for dessert. Moro’s Kitchen is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but they’re open between 4 PM and 8 PM Wednesday to Sunday for dinner.

Skaneateles Bakery

Skaneateles Bakery isn’t large, but they’re one of the best stops for brunch in the entire area. Their menu offers a variety of tasty baked treats, each paired well with a fresh cup of coffee. The atmosphere is casual and down-to-earth, and if you don’t have time to sit down, grab a blueberry muffin or a maple oat scone to eat on the go. Skaneateles Bakery is open daily between 7 AM and 3 PM.

Gilda’s

If you’re looking for a casual environment with great food, you’ll love Gilda’s. This restaurant is well-known in the Skaneateles Lake area for their small pizzas and tasty desserts. They offer a wide selection of draft and bottled beers, or opt for the sangria or one of their fine wines. They also have traditional pizzas available, or customize your pie with soppressata, smoked pancetta, or roasted mushrooms. Gilda’s is closed on Mondays, but they’re open every other day for dinner from 4 PM to 9 PM. You can also stop by for lunch between 11:30 AM and 3 PM Wednesday to Saturday.

Blue Water Grill

At Blue Water Grill, you’ll find a full menu of seafood, sushi, and New American fare. Pair your meal with a drink from the full bar and enjoy sweeping views of the lake while you dine. If there’s a big game on TV, sit and eat at the bar so you don’t miss a single play or inning. Many guests start with the Cajun fried calamari, and you can’t go wrong with the Blue Water-style wings. Order a bowl of lobster bisque to enjoy before the main course, and if you’re not sure what to order, try the Cajun Mahi Mahi. Blue Water Grill is open daily from 11:30 AM until 9 PM.
